Third year

It's already been three years since we started this project. Despite the slow progress, I will once again revise the targets we set for the last 12 months and set new targets for the future.

OBJECTIVES FROM THE THIRD YEAR
   ✗ Put into operation a beta version of Memolingo, no matter how limited it is.
   ✓ Keep the Korean course in Spanish blog up and keep creating new contents for it.

OBJECTIVES FOR THE FOURTH YEAR
   - Put into operation a beta version of Memolingo, no matter how limited it is.
   - Keep the Korean course in Spanish blog up and keep creating new contents for it.

For the second time in a row, we are setting the same two targets. The reason for this is that we couldn't invest time in the project, so no progress was made in the main website. However, Memolingo is still alive and 2016 may be a great year for it. In fact, this is the last chance. If I cannot make it work this year either, the project is probably just going to fade away.


Ya han pasado tres años desde que comenzamos con este proyecto. A pesar de los lentos avances, revisaré una vez más los objetivos marcados para los últimos 12 meses y marcaré nuevos objetivos para el futuro.

OBJETIVOS DEL TERCER AÑO
   ✗ Poner en operación una versión beta de Memolingo, aunque sea muy limitada.
   ✓ Mantener activo el blog Curso de Coreano y seguir dotándolo de contenidos.

OBJETIVOS PARA EL CUARTO AÑO
   - Poner en operación una versión beta de Memolingo, aunque sea muy limitada.
   - Mantener activo el blog Curso de Coreano y seguir dotándolo de contenidos.

Por segunda vez consecutiva, estamos marcando los mismos dos objetivos. La razón es que no pudimos invertir tiempo en el proyecto, por lo que no se hicieron progresos en la página principal. Sin embargo, Memolingo sigue con vida y 2016 puede ser un gran año. De hecho, esta es la última oportunidad. Si no lo puedo poner en marcha este año, probablemente el proyecto desaparezca.

Second year

Today this project finishes its second year, so it's time again to check whether or not we met the targets we set, and to set new ones for the next 12 months.

SPOILER: No, we couldn't make it this year either :(

So, yeah, we are setting exactly the same targets because we couldn't make any progress in the main website of this project. It's sad and a bit embarrasing. However, I have the hope I will get the chance to make some progress during 2015, so I still don't consider this idea is dead. At least, I will try to make it work.


Hoy este proyecto finaliza su segundo año, por lo que es el momento para comprobar de nuevo si cumplimos con los objetivos marcados, y para fijar nuevas metas para los próximos 12 meses.

ADELANTO: No, este año tampoco lo pudimos hacer :(

Es decir que, sí, estamos marcando exactamente los mismo objetivos porque no pudimos realizar ningún avance en la página principal de este proyecto. Es triste y un poco humillante. Sin embargo, tengo la esperanza de poder hacer algunos avances durante 2015, por lo que aún no doy a la idea por muerta. Al menos, intentaré ponerla en marcha.

First year

Today marks the first year after the first steps were done on the Internet for the creation of Memolingo. I will use this date for a brief review of the objectives we had for this first year, and I will also introduce some objectives for the second year.

OBJECTIVES FROM THE FIRST YEAR
   ✓ Create a general blog about the project (this blog).
   ✓ Create social channels in Google+, Twitter and Facebook.
   ✓ Create a preliminar design for the first steps of the project.
   ✗ Put into operation a beta version of Memolingo, no matter how limited.
   ✓ Create a blog format Korean course in Spanish and keep it active.

OBJECTIVES FOR THE SECOND YEAR
   - Put into operation a beta version of Memolingo, no matter how limited it is.
   - Keep the Korean course in Spanish blog up and keep creating new contents for it.

Probably, due to family matters, there won't be many progress on this second year. However, here we are and the idea is still up.


Hoy se cumple un año desde el primer paso real dado en internet para la creación de Memolingo. Aprovecharé la fecha para hacer un breve repaso de los objetivo que teníamos para este primer año, y dejaré por escrito algunos objetivos para el segundo año que ahora comienza.

OBJETIVOS DEL PRIMER AÑO
   ✓ Crear un blog general del proyecto (este blog).
   ✓ Crear canales sociales en Google+, Twitter y Facebook.
   ✓ Hacer un diseño provisional de los primeros pasos del proyecto.
   ✗ Poner en operación una versión beta de Memolingo, aunque sea muy limitada.
   ✓ Crear un curso de coreano en español en formato blog y mantenerlo activo.

OBJETIVOS PARA EL SEGUNDO AÑO
   - Poner en operación una versión beta de Memolingo, aunque sea muy limitada.
   - Mantener activo el blog Curso de Coreano y seguir dotándolo de contenidos.

Probablemente, debido a asuntos familiares, este segundo año no vea muchos avances. Sin embargo, seguimos aquí y la idea sigue en pie.

Beginning of our first blog: Korean Course in Spanish

Today is an important day for Memolingo, as today is the day when we finally launch our first subproject. From now on, we'll post grammar and vocabulary lessons, as well as many examples taken from the everyday life, of the beautiful Korean language in our brand new blog Curso de Coreano en Español (Korean Course in Spanish). Yes, it is written in Spanish, but who knows, we may launch the English version some day ;)

Meanwhile, there are still no plans to develop the main website of this project, but we still hope it will be done in the future.


Hoy es un día importante para Memolingo, porque hoy es el día en que por fin estrenamos nuestro primer subproyecto. A partir de ahora, postearemos lecciones de gramática y vocabulario, así como mucho ejemplos tomados de la vida diaria, del hermoso idioma coreano en nuestro nuevo blog Curso de Coreano en Español. Y lo mejor es que estará escrito en español :)

Por otra parte, aún no hay planes para desarrollar la página principal de este proyecto, pero no perdemos la esperanza de hacerlo en el futuro.

What is Memolingo?

WHAT IS MEMOLINGO?

Memolingo is a website to learn languages. The objective is to use free time, no matter how short it is, to memorize vocabulary and simple grammar patterns. Learning is a game presented with a social layer to make it addictive. This way, users will learn new words in a very easy way.

¿QUÉ ES MEMOLINGO?

Memolingo es una página web de aprendizaje de idiomas. El objetivo es aprovechar el tiempo libre, aunque sean pequeños momentos, para memorizar vocabulario y estructuras gramaticales simples. El aprendizaje es un juego, presentado con una capa social para hacerlo adictivo. De esta forma, el usuario aprenderá nuevas palabras casi sin darse cuenta.
